Киров К-214

Summer passenger tire Kirov K-214 was specifically designed for domestic off-road vehicles UAZ. Open design of the tread pattern

The universality of this model's application is mainly due to the design features of the tread pattern. It is characterized by an open design that contains a large number of individual blocks. They are evenly distributed across several functional zones, each of which is responsible for a certain set of operational properties.

In particular, the central part of the tread contains two wide longitudinal ribs made up of massive blocks. Their arrangement parallel to the direction of movement, on the one hand, improves directional stability when driving at high speeds, and on the other hand, reduces rolling resistance.

Off-road, the transverse blocks of the shoulder zones come into play. Due to the length of the traction edges they create and their own height, they give the tire confident behavior, especially on earth and sand.

Resistance to aquaplaning

Another important advantage of the open design of the tread pattern of this tire is the presence of a large number of longitudinal and transverse drainage grooves. In combination with their large volume, this allows the tire to effectively counteract the effect of aquaplaning, providing reliable traction on wet roads. Off-road, the significant size of the drainage grooves improves passability, thanks to the fact that the tread is extremely effectively self-cleaning from dirt particles that get into it.
