When developing the Kama Euro 519 winter tire, Russian tire manufacturers were guided by the experience of their Finnish colleagues. One of the reasons for the significant improvement of many operational properties is the design of the central longitudinal rib. It has an arrow-shaped form, thanks to which the contact patch has a large number of traction edges, including those arranged transversely. This significantly improves not only the directional stability but also the tire's performance during acceleration. In addition, the continuous structure of the central rib significantly increases fuel efficiency.

The next characteristic feature of this tire is the arrangement and number of locations for installing studs. They were calculated using computer modeling tools in such a way that, in the presence of studs, they provide maximum ice traction efficiency, while reducing the noise from them. In the absence of metal elements, the tire's performance on slippery roads remains high, thanks to the increased density of the lamellas arrangement.
