Ikon Nordman 7

The Ikon Nordman 7 winter tire is designed for use in regions with a clearly expressed cold climate and frequently changing weather conditions. It is distinguished by improved traction on snow and icy surfaces, comfortable handling, effective braking on any slippery surface, acoustic comfort, and a long service life.

The tire is based on the Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7, one of the most popular winter tires in our country. With a few exceptions, the same technologies and materials are used in this model. One such solution is the Air Claw, a special droplet-shaped "cushion" located directly in front of the stud. It prevents damage to the steel element and also reduces the level of mechanical impact on asphalt surfaces, reducing noise when driving on them. An important "borrowing" is, of course, the tread pattern. It is distinguished by the small size of the blocks, which made it possible to increase the number of elements and, accordingly, the number of edges formed by them. This significantly improves the traction properties on snow. In addition to the studs, the tread contains several thousand lamellas. "Three-dimensional" cuts with serrated edges increase the traction properties on icy, wet surfaces, as well as on rolled snow, easily penetrating the water film on the road surface.
