The Ikon Autograph Ice C4 model is not just a commercial tire for light commercial vehicles, but a thoughtfully designed winter product. It is oriented towards intensive operation of minibuses, small-tonnage trucks and vans, where stable traction on slippery asphalt, effective water evacuation, and minimal loss of manageability with temperature changes are critical.
Elastomers for the winter season
When developing the compound, the Russian manufacturer applied modified high-molecular-weight elastomers together with additives. This is necessary to preserve the macro- and micro-mobility of the polymer network at negative temperatures. As a result:
- the tire does not become stiff in the frost, preserving the contact patch;
- abrasive wear is reduced;
- fuel efficiency is improved.
Drainage system
Engineers have designed a multi-channel drainage network with aggressive sharp edges and a variable groove pitch. When driving on a wet road, water and water film are effectively displaced from the contact patch. It is the numerous sharp edges of the tread that create reliable traction, allowing you to confidently overcome snowy and icy road sections.
Course stability like a passenger car
The longitudinal segmented rib forming the center of the tread is made up of individual elements. This solution minimizes skidding and increases stability on the track. And additional gripping edges guarantee stability when exiting onto a broken or gravel road section. Such architecture is especially important for commercial vehicles with a high center of gravity. Note the presence of studding, which allows the driver to feel confident during ice.
Open "shoulders"
Wide, fully open shoulder blocks are a calculated increase in the contact patch area when turning and braking. As a result, increased traction when accelerating on a slippery surface (additional gripping edges), as well as a reduction in braking distance. It is worth adding improved moisture, dirt, and slush removal.
Main features of Ikon Autograph Ice C4:
- commercial model for small-tonnage transport - minibuses, light trucks, vans;
- aggressive geometry of drainage grooves and sharp edges guarantee stability on wet, slippery and snowy roads;
- confident maneuvering during ice due to studding;
- special winter compound that increases the stability of traction properties at negative temperatures.
