Description Heidenau M3R Racing
The Heidenau M3R Racing motorcycle tire was created based on the M3 model. However, unlike it, this tire is designed for participation in moped racing competitions, which are very popular in many European countries. This model, with a practically identical tread pattern, differs in reduced weight and a different rubber compound, which provided the protector with excellent resistance to aggressive external influences and excellent thermal stability.
As mentioned earlier, the tread pattern of the Heidenau M3R tire was borrowed from the M3 model, where it was able to demonstrate its excellent efficiency on various types of coverage. One of the most characteristic features of this classic tread pattern is the original design of the central rib. Despite the fact that it consists of a series of separate hexagonal blocks, German specialists were able to give this part of the tread a very high stiffness. To do this, they had to connect the blocks of the central rib to each other with special ties. Thinner ties, located longitudinally, similarly connected the tread blocks of the entire tread together. Thanks to this solution, the tire demonstrates excellent resistance to dynamic deformation, which made it possible to achieve stable and reliable handling.
Another characteristic feature of this model is the presence of special blocks in the shoulder areas of the tread, which are distinguished not only by their trapezoidal shape but also by their great height. Due to this, the German tire specialists were able to solve two problems at once. Firstly, these blocks allow for more precise maneuvering when installing the tire on the front wheel. Secondly, when overcoming sections with loose and unstable soils, they work like off-road tires. And thirdly, their sufficiently large height significantly reduces the likelihood of punctures and cuts when driving on rough terrain.
Main features of the Heidenau M3R Racing motorcycle tire
- Reduced weight and special rubber compound allow participation in various amateur races, in which the tire demonstrates excellent efficiency, regardless of the characteristics of the road surface;
- Excellent directional stability and good feedback, thanks to the high constructive stiffness of the tread;
- Excellent traction on various surfaces due to the classic tread pattern.
