Description Heidenau K45R Racing
The Heidenau K45R Racing motorcycle tire has a rather narrow specialization. Its main purpose is directly related to racing on sports motorcycles released in the 70-80s of the last century. At the same time, the composition of the rubber compound is selected in such a way as to provide the best grip at not very high road surface temperatures.
This model is characterized by a combination of a classic road tread pattern, characteristic of racing tires of the second half of the last century, and a modern design, where advanced technologies were applied. In particular, the rubber compound is distinguished by a reduced warm-up time to operating temperatures, as well as exceptional stability when overheated, thanks to which the tire demonstrates excellent grip even in very harsh conditions.
The tread pattern is characterized by a clear division into separate functional zones. In the central part of the tread, there are two longitudinal ribs, separated by a fairly wide drainage groove for a tire of this category. At the same time, both central ribs are made in the form of solid elements with very high stiffness. This design provides the Heidenau K45R Racing motorcycle tire with excellent directional stability throughout the speed range, as well as low rolling resistance. Additionally, the double central rib allowed minimizing the response time to steering wheel turns, which brought a sporty sharpness to the handling character. It is also worth noting the presence of special reinforcing elements in the central drainage groove, located perpendicular to the direction of movement. These elements provide a very rigid connection between the two central ribs, thereby turning them into a single whole.
Main features of the Heidenau K45R Racing motorcycle tire
- Two central ribs connected to each other by a multitude of reinforcing elements provide the tire with exceptional directional stability and handling agility;
- Excellent resistance to aquaplaning, thanks to the presence of a longitudinal drainage groove in the central part of the tread, which accommodates a large volume of water and then directs it outward through numerous transverse channels;
- A special rubber compound is characterized by rapid warming up to operating temperature and the ability to maintain stability during prolonged overheating.
