Description Heidenau K44R Vintage Racing
The Heidenau K44R Vintage Racing motorcycle tire was created based on the K44 model and, like it, is designed primarily for classic motorcycles. The main reason for its appearance is the great popularity in Europe of racing on such motorcycles, for which it was created. The key difference of this model is the composition of the rubber mixture, which becomes maximally effective only after heating to a certain temperature. According to the assurances of this renowned and respected German tire manufacturer, this tire is distinguished by a very short warm-up time to working temperature and excellent traction properties, regardless of the characteristics of the road surface.
Another distinctive feature of this model is the large steepness of the tread profile, which ends almost at its rim. This made it possible to preserve the maximum size of the contact patch even at very significant motorcycle lean angles. In practice, this means that the motorcyclist has the opportunity to pass very high-speed turns. At the same time, the transverse grooves of the Heidenau K44R, located in the shoulder areas of the tread, due to their correct placement, not only do not reduce the stiffness indicators but also increase the efficiency of traction control.
The central part of the tread is occupied by two longitudinal ribs, separated from each other by a fairly wide and deep drainage groove. Its large volume allows it to accommodate a significant amount of water, leaving the contact patch practically dry. Thanks to this, the tire demonstrates excellent resistance to aquaplaning.
Main features of the Heidenau K44R Vintage Racing motorcycle tire
- Excellent directional stability, thanks to two longitudinal ribs located in the central part of the tread;
- Perfect efficiency of the drainage system, consisting of a wide longitudinal groove and numerous transverse channels, provides excellent resistance to aquaplaning;
- A large contact patch area is maintained even at significant lean angles due to a correctly profiled tread that ends almost at the tire rim;
- The rubber mixture is selected to provide a short warm-up time to working temperature, after which the tire demonstrates excellent traction, regardless of the characteristics of the road surface.
