The Heidenau K28 Motorcycle Sidecar tire has a rather narrow specialization, but it doesn't become less relevant to our compatriots. The fact is that this model is designed for installation on motorcycle sidecars, including those with drive.

Since moving a motorcycle with a sidecar does not involve maneuvering with any tilt towards the turn, the tread of this tire has many similar features with models designed for passenger cars. First of all, this is an almost straight tread profile, which made it possible not only to provide the maximum contact patch area but also to give it a rectangular shape. The contact patch of this configuration allows for a very even distribution of external weight, which significantly improves stability and reliability of traction, as well as reduces the likelihood of uneven wear.

Another significant advantage of the Heidenau K28 tread pattern is the arrangement of all its elements, which forms three longitudinal ribs. At the same time, each of them is double, i.e., consists of two identical structural elements. In the central part of the tread, there is a double longitudinal rib, which, due to the absence of any interruptions throughout the tread, has high structural rigidity. Thanks to this, the German tire manufacturers were able to achieve excellent directional stability and reduced rolling resistance.

It is also worth noting the excellent performance of the drainage system, which consists of five longitudinal and numerous transverse channels. This turned out to be quite sufficient to provide excellent resistance to aquaplaning even in the most unfavorable conditions.
