The Hankook W330A i*cept Evo3 winter tire is designed for the most dynamic versions of SUVs and category SUV vehicles. It is characterized by ease of handling on snowy surfaces, reliability of traction properties on wet and dry roads, as well as in conditions of extremely low temperatures.
The directional tread pattern features an increased number of V-shaped drainage grooves. These elements, intensively diverting snow, its heavy mixture with water and dirt from the contact patch, improve traction properties on snowy roads. The effectiveness of the tread on ice is provided by several thousand lamellas. High density of the slot arrangement is ensured by the "three-dimensionality" of the profile of their vertical walls. This limits the mobility of the blocks, increasing the stability of the traction properties and improving handling on slippery surfaces. It's worth noting the use of the Aqua Pine rubber compound in the manufacture of the tread. Its composition, based on silicon dioxide, contains highly purified resins, thanks to which the compound has absorbent properties, and at extremely low temperatures, it retains elasticity.
Directly above the 2-layer carcass is a reinforced breaker. It is a steel cord with an increased density of thread winding. This allowed reducing their cross-section, reducing the weight of the tire, while providing such a "substrate" with high stiffness and resistance to deformation. This had a positive effect on handling, wear resistance, and fuel efficiency.
Key features of Hankook W330A i*cept Evo3
