The Hankook W330 i*cept Evo3 winter tire provides reliable vehicle control on any slippery road. The non-studded model demonstrates excellent traction properties and handling precision in such conditions.
The tread compound is made from a rubber mixture with a high silica content and the use of natural rubber. This allows the tire to maintain elasticity even at extremely low temperatures and maintain integrity during prolonged high-speed driving. The use of a steel breaker with increased thread density improves the stability of traction properties and handling precision.
The V-shaped tread pattern features a large number of drainage grooves. Their reverse direction and increased volume allow water and even heavier meltwater to be drained from the contact patch. On particularly slippery surfaces, efficiency is provided by "three-dimensional" lamellas. Narrow slits form sharp edges that allow the tire to grip even the smallest irregularities. The "three-dimensional" profile of the lamella walls, limiting the mobility of the blocks, gives stability to the traction, increasing handling precision.
The shoulder areas of the tread feature additional drainage grooves. Located at the very edge, they significantly reduce the risk of aquaplaning, especially during longitudinal accelerations. The transverse edges formed by them allow for more intense acceleration and deceleration on wet surfaces.
