Description Hankook TL10+
The cargo tire TL10+, designed for trailers and semi-trailers, is one of the representatives of the recently introduced e-Cube line. It is distinguished, first of all, by exceptionally high economic efficiency. This is due to a very long service life, which was achieved without compromising other equally important operational properties, primarily traction.
High load capacity
Regardless of the size, this model is characterized by very high load capacity indicators. They are achieved mainly due to the reinforced carcass. Its multi-layer structure is entirely made of steel cord. At the same time, the increased density of the steel wires in it not only improves the tire's carrying capacity but also its resistance to deformation, and also reduces heat generation at high speeds, which, in turn, leads to an increase in its service life.
In addition to the carcass, the significant load capacity of this model is ensured by some design features of the tread pattern. It consists of five practically equal longitudinal ribs. Their seamless construction, which does not contain any composite elements, is characterized by increased stiffness. In combination with the location and size of the ribs, this feature optimizes the distribution of external load on the contact patch, and therefore the tire's carrying capacity, which, in turn, has a positive effect on load capacity.
Several advantages from five ribs
In addition to optimizing the pressure distribution on the contact patch, the five longitudinal ribs have a positive effect on a number of other important operational properties of the Hankook TL10+ tire. First of all, this is the traction on a dry road, achieved thanks to the large size of these tread elements. Moreover, the rigid construction of the ribs ensures the constancy of the geometric parameters of the contact patch, which gives stability to the traction properties and predictability to the handling.
Another significant advantage provided by the rigid longitudinal ribs is the reduction of rolling resistance to a minimum. This is achieved due to the absence of separate elements in their design.
Extended service life
The above-mentioned high economic efficiency of this model is ensured by several design features that increase the service life. First of all, these are the characteristics of the tread rubber compound. Its composition is selected in such a way as to give it maximum wear resistance. Another factor that determines the extended service life is the thickness of the tread and a very robust carcass. Both features provide the possibility of restoring the tread pattern three times.
Main features of the Hankook TL10+ tire
- the tire is designed for operation exclusively on the trailer axles of trucks;
- excellent stability at high speeds due to the rigid design of the five longitudinal ribs;
- high fuel efficiency due to the absence of a large number of separate tread elements;
- extended service life is ensured by the high resistance of the tread to wear, as well as the possibility of restoring its pattern three times.
