Description Hankook TH02
One of the main features of the Hankook TH02 truck tire is the ability to operate throughout the year. This is mainly due to the rubber compound, which is designed to provide maximum traction under any road conditions. As for applicability, it is limited to high-capacity trailers and semi-trailers used for medium and long-distance transportation on roads with asphalt-concrete pavement.
Simple but effective tread pattern
When developing this model, South Korean tire makers preferred to rely on proven and time-tested solutions. This, on the one hand, made it possible to ensure quite relevant operational characteristics, and on the other hand, significantly improved the price-quality ratio, which is at a very attractive level.
One of such solutions is the division of the Hankook TH02 tread pattern into several separate zones performing various tasks. In the central part of the tread, there are 4 longitudinal ribs. Due to the absence of interruptions, these tread elements have impressive stiffness, which provides them with excellent resistance to dynamic deformation. When driving at high speeds, this technical feature provides the tire with stable and reliable behavior.
On both sides of the central part of the tread, there are shoulder zones. The functional purpose of these tread elements is not limited to ensuring stability when cornering, but also a number of other no less important tasks. First of all, this is ensuring resistance to uneven wear, which has an extremely negative effect on the life of the entire tire. That's why the shoulder zones have been significantly strengthened, allowing the tire to better distribute the external load across the contact patch. In addition, this effect is contributed by the equal sizes and equal spacing of the longitudinal ribs located in the central part of the tread.
Main features of the Hankook TH02 truck tire
- the tire was specifically designed for high-capacity trailers and semi-trailers used for medium and long distances;
- four longitudinal ribs provide the tire with excellent directional stability;
- the zigzag shape of the ribs made it possible to significantly reduce the level of resonant noises and vibrations;
- low rolling resistance and excellent resistance to uneven wear, thanks to the large number of longitudinal ribs and their high structural stiffness.
