Description Hankook e-cube Max DL10+
The Hankook e-cube Max DL10+ truck tire is designed for installation on the drive axles of long-haul tractors and other commercial vehicles. This tire belongs to the e-cube Max model family, which is distinguished by its high energy efficiency and excellent environmental characteristics. This model is available in five sizes with a 22.5-inch rim diameter.
Since this tire is designed for installation on the drive axles of heavy-duty trucks, the South Korean specialists who developed it paid special attention to ensuring high traction even with significant tread wear. To achieve this, special three-dimensional lamellas were used. These lamellas, cut through the entire depth of the tread, form a multitude of sharp traction edges on the one hand, and on the other hand, provide high structural rigidity to the longitudinal ribs of the tread. This made it possible to significantly improve the traction and handling characteristics, especially on wet surfaces, as well as significantly improve fuel efficiency. Additionally, the increased rigidity of the longitudinal ribs allowed the Hankook e-cube MAX DL10+ tire to improve the tread's resistance to uneven wear, which had a positive impact on the tire's service life.
In addition to the three-dimensional lamellas, a tread with a V-shaped directional pattern was used to ensure high traction. This solution made it possible to achieve high acceleration efficiency, since the sharp traction edges formed by the three-dimensional lamellas are located at a sharp angle relative to the direction of movement. At the same time, the blocks of the shoulder zones of the tread, located at a right angle to the direction of movement, guarantee high braking efficiency.
Key features of the Hankook e-cube MAX DL10+
- The V-shaped tread pattern with 6 longitudinal ribs gives the tire excellent traction and handling characteristics, as well as good directional stability;
- Low rolling resistance, thanks to the increased number of rigid longitudinal ribs;
- The multitude of three-dimensional lamellas significantly increased the tread's resistance to premature wear, as well as improved traction and handling characteristics;
- An additional high-strength breaker layer allowed to increase the tire's strength, as well as significantly improve the stability of the geometric dimensions of the contact patch;
- Five longitudinal drainage grooves, which improved traction on wet roads.
