Description Hankook DL07
The cargo tire Hankook DL07, being designed for installation on the driving axles of long-haul tractors, is one of the novelties of the well-known South Korean tire brand, where a whole range of the latest technical developments have been applied. With their help, it was possible to significantly expand the versatility of application, while improving the coupling properties and service life.
Increased tread pattern width and depth
A long service life was achieved due to a number of factors. One of them was the tread pattern, the width and depth of which were significantly increased compared to the previous model. Just 7% was enough to improve the service life by 20%.
IMS Technology
Another factor that ensured the increase in service life was the rubber compound, or rather the technology of its preparation, which was named IMS (Innovative Mixing System). It involves changing the manufacturing process, which ensures a more even distribution of all components of the rubber compound, which as a result becomes more uniform. This made it possible to improve a number of important operational characteristics of the tire, in particular, traction and resistance to cuts and high-temperature exposure.
Even Wear
It is also worth noting the excellent resistance of the tire to uneven wear. This is ensured not only by the high strength of the Hankook DL07 steel carcass but also by the design of the symmetrical non-directional tread pattern. It contains five longitudinal ribs that optimally distribute the external weight across the entire contact patch. In combination with special components in the rubber compound, this makes it possible to significantly improve the tread's resistance to uneven wear.
Main Features of the Hankook DL07 Tire
- the tire is designed for the driving axle of trucks;
- an aggressive tread pattern design provides excellent traction in any road conditions;
- wide and deep drainage grooves with "stone ejectors" contribute to an increased service life;
- an optimized carcass and tread design ensure optimal distribution of external load across the contact patch;
- reinforced shoulder areas reduce rolling resistance, increase the contact patch size;
- an exceptionally long service life due to the increased width and depth of the tread pattern.
