Description Hankook AL10
The Hankook AL10 truck tire is one of the most striking representatives of the famous "environmental" e-Cube line. Indeed, a unique feature of this model is its versatility of application. This tire is perfect for use not only on the steering axles of highway trucks but also on driving and trailer axles. At the same time, the South Korean manufacturer recommends installing it on the steering axle, where it demonstrates the greatest efficiency.
Unique rubber compound
As you know, a significant part of the operational characteristics of any tire is provided by the rubber compound. This model is no exception to the rule. Moreover, the rubber compound of its tread provides not only optimal traction properties but also a very long service life.
In addition, it is impossible not to note the presence of a special "sub-layer" in the shoulder areas. It is characterized by increased stiffness, which gives this part of the tread high resistance to dynamic deformation. This allows significantly reducing rolling resistance, which is most favorably reflected in fuel efficiency.
Universal tread pattern
This model is perfect for use on any axle of trucks, including trailers. Such wide universality is largely ensured by the symmetrical non-directional tread pattern, which has a fairly original design.
It seems that it contains five longitudinal ribs, which can be seen on most modern tire products for trucks today. In fact, there are many more such tread elements, since the central rib and shoulder areas contain one longitudinal lamella each, dividing them into two parts. Thanks to this, the tire demonstrates excellent directional stability. At the same time, traction properties are provided by numerous transverse lamellas of a wavy shape.
Main features of the Hankook AL10 truck tire
- universal scope of application due to the possibility of use on any axle of trucks;
- excellent fuel efficiency due to the rigid design of the tread ribs and a special "sub-layer" that gives the shoulder areas increased resistance to dynamic deformation;
- large contact patch size due to the flat profile and the massiveness of the five longitudinal ribs.
