The tread pattern of the GT Radial Savero Yzzy tire was developed according to classic canons. It consists of several main functional zones that perform a strictly defined set of tasks. In fact, there are only two of them - the central part of the tread and the shoulder zones.
The central part of the tread is distinguished by the presence of two longitudinal ribs, which are rows of many small blocks of complex polygonal shape. Thanks to this design of the central part of the tread, the contact patch has been provided with an infinite number of edges. At the same time, it is necessary to note the very large distance between the blocks. This combination provides the tire with excellent off-road qualities, primarily on soft soils, where the multitude of edges and excellent self-cleaning properties of the tread allow you to confidently overcome such sections.
In turn, the shoulder zones of the tread also consist of separate blocks, but of a significantly larger size and with a more aggressive profile. This design has given the tire a number of important qualities. First of all, it is excellent stability when cornering, which is ensured by the stability of the shoulder block shapes. In addition, the reinforced design of the shoulder zones allows for a more even distribution of external loads on the contact patch, while giving it a rectangular shape. As a result, the tire not only increased its carrying capacity but also significantly improved its handling on asphalt.
