The all-season tire GT-Radial Champiro WT-65, produced by a well-known Asian manufacturer, is designed for small and medium-sized passenger cars.
The design of the symmetrical non-directional S-shaped tread pattern features an original appearance. The tread pattern contains reliable and time-tested solutions. In the center of the tread pattern, there is a rigid, uninterrupted rib that provides the tire with excellent directional stability and significantly reduces rolling resistance. Two other ribs, also located in the central part of the tread, consist of two rows of separate blocks of a quadrangular shape. These blocks are arranged in a checkerboard pattern on the tread, which is a reliable and proven means of combating noise. Additionally, the separate blocks with their sharp edges improve the GT Radial Champiro WT-65 tire's performance in deep snow.
The shoulder areas also consist of two rows of separate blocks, the distinctive feature of which is the concavity of their profile, which substantially prevents the occurrence of poorly sealable sidewall punctures and cuts. It is also worth noting the excellent self-cleaning properties of the tread, ensured by four wide and deep longitudinal grooves and a system of transverse channels, through which effective water, slush, and dirt removal is carried out. To further improve the tire's basic operating characteristics when driving on snowy and icy surfaces, the tread pattern is equipped with a multitude of transverse S-shaped lamellas, which, without compromising the stiffness of the tread elements, literally grip the slippery road, endowing the tire with stable, stable, and most importantly, safe behavior on icy surfaces.
Key features of the GT Radial Champiro WT-65 tire
- the original S-shaped design of the symmetrical non-directional tread pattern provides excellent traction with snowy surfaces;
- the variable pitch of the block arrangement significantly reduces the noise level, ensuring high driving comfort;
- high performance in snowy conditions is ensured by the large number of separate blocks with sharp edges of a quadrangular shape;
- a multitude of wavy lamellas, the sharp edges of which, piercing the forming water film when driving on icy surfaces, additionally improve traction with slippery surfaces.
