Description Greenstone ST398
The Greenstone ST398 tire is a means of ensuring maximum maneuverability, safety, and fuel efficiency on the steering axles of trucks and buses, as well as reliable operation on the bearing axles of trailer equipment.
The principle of targeted reinforcement is the basis. Instead of many small elements, the manufacturer has created a tread with five powerful longitudinal ribs. This is not simplification, but concentration of material where critical loads occur. The increased mass of rubber in the shoulder areas forms a rigid force frame that resists deformation during cornering and lateral drift, providing exceptional directional stability.
The massive solid "shoulders" and optimized tread profile work as a single system, minimizing tread deformation. This directly leads to a reduction in rolling resistance, which in commercial transportation is transformed into significant fuel savings while maintaining high carrying capacity. The wide longitudinal grooves perform a dual function. Their volume guarantees rapid drainage of a large amount of moisture and liquid mud, actively counteracting hydroplaning. At the same time, the special shape of the grooves creates many cutting edges, providing predictable traction on wet roads and effective deceleration when braking.
The tire is manufactured using modern technology. This improved rubber compound was developed to withstand the specific loads in the commercial sector. It demonstrates increased resistance to abrasive wear, which increases the overall mileage, and also has increased resistance to cuts, tears, and thermal oxidative cracking.
Key features of the Greenstone ST398:
- 5 massive longitudinal ribs with reinforced shoulder areas for unprecedented directional stability and protection against uneven wear;
- optimized contact patch shape directly affects reduced fuel consumption;
- deep channels with increased volume for safety in difficult weather conditions;
- increased resistance to wear and mechanical damage for extended service life.
