When developing this model, the specialists of the North American company preferred to use "life-tested" solutions. We are talking, first of all, about the proprietary V-shaped tread pattern for Goodyear, which this manufacturer has been true to for several decades. A characteristic feature of this version is the presence of a large number of wide drainage grooves located at a large angle against the direction of movement. This made it possible to significantly increase their throughput due to the use of centrifugal acceleration forces. Additionally, the efficiency of the drainage grooves was increased due to their curved shape.

Highly effective rubber compound

A significant part of the traction of this model is ensured by the tread pattern and the physical and chemical properties of the rubber compound from which it is made. Its composition is approximately the same as the components used for the production of racing tires. Its characteristic feature is an increased content of silica, as well as the presence of special polymers. They provide uniformity of the compound, as well as increase its strength and tear resistance, increasing the protection of the tread integrity when driving at high speed.
