Goodyear Wrangler AT/SA

The Goodyear Wrangler AT/SA summer light truck tire is designed for high-performance vehicles that are primarily driven on regular roads. This model is available in two tread pattern options - with four and five longitudinal ribs. Tires with a four-rib design have a rim diameter of 15 and 16 inches, while those with a five-rib design have a diameter of 17 inches. This model is the result of numerous tests conducted on both regular roads and off-road terrain.

One of the design features of this tire is the two layers of kevlar in the carcass, which is five times stronger than steel. At the same time, the kevlar layers are only an addition to the double metal cord. The result of this technical solution is the tire's exceptional resistance to very strong mechanical aggression. In addition to its high resistance to punctures and tears, the two layers of kevlar have improved sound insulation characteristics, which significantly reduce road noise.

This combination of high mechanical strength and low noise level was made possible by the SilentArmor Technology, which has repeatedly proven its effectiveness in many other off-road models from this North American tire giant. However, it was the Goodyear Wrangler AT/SA tire that was one of the first to feature a new sequence of tread block arrangement, which further reduced the noise level while driving.

Additionally, the new block arrangement allowed for excellent self-cleaning properties of the tread, thanks to which the tire demonstrates excellent traction, both on wet roads and in snowy slush. The massive blocks in the shoulder areas of the tread provide confident overcoming of sections with unstable loose soils, where the Durawall technology, which consists of a reinforced sidewall design, comes in handy, significantly increasing their resistance to punctures and cuts.
