The Goodyear Excellence tire is specially designed for high-speed modern vehicles. The tread pattern of the tire features the latest safety technology, which maintains high traction with wet road surfaces at high speeds. The deep grooves are designed to divert and absorb increased amounts of water.
Regardless of which side of the vehicle the tires are on, the asymmetric tread provides rapid water drainage through interconnected channels. Similarly, the new chemical composition of the rubber compound, reinforced with silica, serves the same purpose. Due to the use of new polymers, the tire has increased traction with various road surfaces in different weather conditions. This tire has implemented two ideas that have significantly reduced the sound effect: first, it's the central part with rigid extended ribs and ribs from side blocks, angled at a sharp angle, and secondly, the unique Dual-Block technology of double block offsets. The essence of this technology is that the sizes of the blocks in the shoulder area and the blocks of the inner ribs of the tread are in different sequences.
This arrangement of blocks has significantly reduced the noise produced, as the angled blocks contact the road gradually. In addition, the Goodyear Excellence tire was manufactured using a new design: the area where the tire contacts the wheel rim provides a uniform fit, which eliminates further vibration. The carcass has a special structure and consists of a progressive spiral upper layer with an reinforced double layer, located under the shoulder area. As a result, the tread evenly contacts the road with the entire area of the contact patch. The "stabilizers" in the form of rigid and wide outer blocks and ribs provide quick feedback.
