The summer commercial tire Goodyear EfficientGrip Cargo is designed for light trucks and vans. It was developed to replace the Marathon model, which it surpasses in a number of parameters. The tire is characterized by fuel efficiency, acoustic comfort, and a long service life - 10,000 kilometers more than its predecessor.

Increased service life

The tire's tread is made from an updated rubber compound. It contains much more silica than before. This was made possible by the use of special polymers. They strengthen the molecular bonds between all components of the rubber compound. On the one hand, this ensures its uniformity, and on the other, it increases the strength of rupture and stretching. As a result, the tread is extremely resistant to any aggressive effects, including mechanical ones, which increases the tire's service life.

Improved braking efficiency on wet surfaces

The tire demonstrates excellent braking efficiency for its category, especially on wet surfaces. This is ensured by several factors. One of them is the optimized tread profile, which increases the contact patch area and gives it a nearly rectangular shape. In turn, the narrow lamellas form numerous sharp edges that, cutting through the water film on the road surface, provide the tread with reliable grip on wet surfaces.
