The tread design features wide longitudinal ribs that enhance directional stability and handling precision. The drainage grooves between them reduce the risk of aquaplaning. In turn, the rubber compound has a high silica content, which gives the tread elasticity at low temperatures, allowing the tire to literally stick to the cold, wet asphalt.
