The name of the all-season tire Goodyear Eagle Enforcer All Weather directly reflects its purpose and target audience — special services that require confident grip and handling in any weather conditions. Initially, this model was developed for police cars in the USA, operated in a variable climate. This fact in itself highlights the tire among others: it combines the reliability of commercial tires, sports precision, and resistance to extreme loads.
The tire belongs to the All Weather category, which means an optimal balance between the properties of summer and winter tires. The basis of the design is a sturdy two-layer carcass with a reinforced nylon cord, providing increased resistance to deformation and mechanical damage. Such a structure was created taking into account the typical conditions of police service — sharp maneuvers, frequent and intense longitudinal accelerations, driving on uneven roads. The carcass maintains its shape, including when exposed to high lateral loads, which directly increases the accuracy of handling and stability at high speeds.
One of the key features of the model was the directional asymmetric tread with a system of deep drainage channels and lamellas of three types. They form sharp edges of grip, thanks to which the tire works equally confidently on wet, snowy or dry pavement. Longitudinal grooves effectively drain water and slush, preventing hydroplaning, and transverse slots contribute to rapid recovery of grip when braking. Thanks to this design, the Eagle Enforcer All Weather received Severe Snow Service (3PMSF) certification, confirming its suitability for winter operation.
Special attention was paid by engineers to the All-Weather Compound rubber mixture, created on the basis of high-tech polymers and micro-dispersed particles of silicon dioxide, known as "silica". This composition retains elasticity at negative temperatures, without losing stiffness in the heat, which provides stable grip characteristics in a wide range of conditions. The low internal friction of the mixture contributes to a reduction in rolling resistance and wear — parameters that are critically important for vehicles that are in daily operation.
Key features of the Goodyear Eagle Enforcer All Weather:
- installation on a wide range of passenger vehicles;
- high strength and wear resistance due to the reinforced carcass and nylon cord;
- confident grip on dry, wet and snowy surfaces thanks to the directional tread with multiple lamellas;
- the all-season rubber mixture All-Weather Compound provides stability of properties over a wide temperature range.
