One of the main features of the summer passenger tire General Tire Grabber GT is its fairly narrow scope of application. In addition to the fact that this model is designed for powerful and high-speed SUVs and crossovers, it was developed for operation exclusively on paved roads. It is in these conditions that this tire will show itself from the best side, of which it has enough. An unequivocal hint at its outstanding abilities on asphalt are the speed indexes W, which are available for some sizes, which implies ensuring a high level of safety at speeds of up to 270 km/h.
Aggressive tread pattern
The first thing that catches the eye when looking at the General Tire Grabber GT tire is its tread pattern of a very aggressive design. At the same time, it is asymmetrical and directional. A characteristic feature of it is the clear division into several functional zones designed to provide maximum efficiency on straight sections, as well as when passing turns.
Excellent directional stability
In motion, this model demonstrates excellent directional stability at any speed. This was achieved due to a very stable multi-layer carcass and a five-rib structure of the tread pattern. In addition, almost in the very center of it is a wide and at the same time very rigid longitudinal rib. Thanks to this, this tire reacts almost instantaneously to steering wheel turns, which has brought a sporty note to the handling character.
Wonderful handling in turns
As is the case with a tire of the Ultra High Performance category, this model is equipped with reinforced shoulder areas. Due to the increased size of this part of the tread, the tire was able to demonstrate excellent resistance to lateral skidding, which allows you to pass turns at a very high speed.
