Description Galaxy Port Max IND-4
Developing the Galaxy Port Max IND-4 tire, the manufacturer set out not just to create a tire, but to design a power module for the most aggressive segment of industrial logistics — working with empty containers and on heavy forklifts. The concept is based on the principle of maximum contact and minimal deformation.
This is not an evolution, but a targeted development for environments where the coating is an abrasive, and the loads are impact and non-stationary in nature.
Tread with a maximum filling coefficient. The model abandoned the aggressive, but quickly wearing "toothed" pattern in favor of a solid working surface with minimal grooves. This provides key benefits:
- a large contact area distributes pressure to the ground, rather than concentrating it on individual blocks. This radically reduces the rate of rubber wear on asphalt, concrete, and metal dock surfaces;
- the solid mass of the tread acts as a buffer zone, absorbing the energy of impacts on slab joints, thresholds, and other irregularities, preventing them from reaching the power frame;
- uniform pressure ensures predictable traction without local slippage, critically important for precise positioning of multi-ton containers.
The tire carcass is not just a set of cords. It is a system with a precisely calculated winding angle and composition. An additional layer of high-modulus cord is used here, which dampens stress in the area of maximum bending during loaded turns. This prevents the classic "side break" — delamination and stratification of the sidewall. The design suppresses transverse deformation of the tread under the weight of the cargo, keeping the contact patch flat and intact, which directly affects the carrying capacity and stability.
A composition based on high-dispersion technical carbon and special polymers has been introduced, which at the molecular level provides a balance between wear resistance (for resource) and tear strength (for resistance to cuts and punctures).
Key features of the Galaxy Port Max IND-4:
- increased by 25-40% (compared to general-purpose tires) tread depth and wear resistance directly reduce the frequency of replacements and equipment downtime;
- the tire does not "play" and does not deform critically even when working at the maximum carrying capacity of the forklift, ensuring the safety of the operator and the integrity of the cargo;
- optimal operation on rolled soil, gravel, asphalt, and concrete due to balanced traction and self-cleaning;
- the reinforced design minimizes the risk of rapid damage to the carcass, characteristic of work in port and construction conditions.
