The Fulda Carat Exelero summer tire was specially designed for powerful passenger cars that can move at very high speeds. This model is addressed, first of all, to those car owners who prefer an aggressive driving style, but are not ready to give up a high level of comfort. When developing it, the preferences of ordinary drivers were taken into account, who, as it turned out, are most sensitive to traction on wet roads and safe handling, as well as noise level.
The main innovation in this model is an absolutely new composition of the rubber mixture, which, due to the high content of silicon-containing elements, has increased elasticity. Thanks to this, the tire has demonstrated significantly improved, compared to previous models, coupling properties and braking efficiency, especially on wet surfaces. In addition, when creating the tread pattern, the company's specialists tried to provide a more dense fit to the surface of the road, in order to achieve an increase in the area of the contact patch.
The design of the carcass was also developed with high-speed movement in mind. Particular attention was paid to ensuring high resistance to deformation, since all the main operational characteristics of the Fulda Carat Exelero tire depend directly on this, in particular, stability in turns and braking distance. In addition, a more rigid carcass allows for a significant increase in the clarity of reactions to steering wheel turns, which has given the handling confidence and reliability.
Another crucial aspect that was given a lot of attention during development is the noise level. To reduce it, tire engineers applied the largely unique DualShift technology. Using computer modeling methods, they placed blocks of different shapes and sizes in the central part of the tread and its shoulder zones, which ultimately led to a reduction in the overall noise level. Another component of the DualShift technology was the irregular arrangement of tread elements in all 6 longitudinal ribs.
