The Firestone Roadhawk summer tire is designed for compact and mid-size passenger cars. It has better traction properties in rainy conditions and a longer service life compared to most of its direct competitors.
The tread pattern of the tire features an asymmetrical arrangement of elements and an increased number of lateral traction edges. These allow the tire to effectively realize traction force on slippery surfaces and demonstrate a short braking distance on them. On the outside of the tread, there is a solid rib and an enlarged shoulder area with wide blocks. All these elements, having high deformation stability, prevent lateral skidding, increase handling accuracy, and stabilize traction properties.
Key features:
- an asymmetrical tread with a large number of lateral edges increases traction force and reduces braking distance on slippery surfaces;
- the inclination of the transverse drainage grooves reduces the risk of aquaplaning;
- a special rubber compound with a high content of silica and functional polymers improves grip on wet surfaces, resistance to wear, punctures, and cuts.
