The operational properties of the Dunlop SP Touring R1 summer tire are selected in accordance with the design features and characteristics of small-class passenger cars that are mainly operated in urban conditions. The model is offered in less than a dozen sizes for wheels with a mounting diameter from 13 to 15 inches.

Stability in the most difficult conditions

A distinctive feature of the model is that it provides control over the car in the most difficult conditions. This is ensured by several technical solutions. One of them is the tread, the elements of which have different stiffness. This to a large extent optimizes the distribution of external load on the contact patch. As a result, the tire is given stable and predictable behavior when maneuvering. Its efficiency on wet pavement is ensured by three wide grooves that dry the contact patch with very high intensity.

Ride comfort

In motion, the tire shows a very high level of comfort. Softness on the go is achieved due to the ability of the sidewalls to deform in a special way under the influence of external load. In turn, acoustic comfort is ensured by the multi-step arrangement of asymmetric tread elements.

Low fuel consumption

The fuel efficiency demonstrated by the tire is ensured not only by the design features of the tread pattern. Much more credit for this goes to the rubber compound. It contains special polymers that reduce the heating of the tire during movement, which in turn reduces rolling resistance and fuel consumption along with it.

Key features of Dunlop SP Touring R1

- confident behavior in any conditions thanks to the tread with elements of variable stiffness and a productive drainage system;
- high level of comfort provided by rounded sidewalls and multi-step arrangement of tread elements;
- fuel efficiency is achieved by special polymers in the rubber compound.
