Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Dunlop Graspic HS1
The Dunlop Graspic HS1 passenger tire, despite being designed for exclusive use in winter, has a sufficiently wide range of applications. This is due to the characteristics and functional capabilities of modern passenger cars, which are often used on various types of surfaces. The use of modern technologies and materials has allowed the specialists of the British brand to give this model excellent performance in any road conditions.
Open tread design
The tread pattern design chosen by British tire technicians for this model is characterized by openness. It contains a large number of blocks with massive sizes and polygonal shapes with multidirectional edges. In combination with the significant distance between them, this design gives the tire good traction on snow, as well as increased resistance to slushplaning, not to mention aquaplaning.
Stable traction on ice
All, without exception, tread blocks contain at least several wavy lamellas. During movement, they form an additional multitude of traction edges. All of them are located transversely, which increases the effectiveness of the tread work, both when accelerating and braking. It becomes the greatest when moving on ice, which allows you to completely level out the absence of studs on this tire.
Main features of the Dunlop Graspic HS1 tire
- massive and polygonal blocks, located at a significant distance from each other, improve snow passability, and also provide increased resistance of the tread to slushplaning;
- lamellas cut into the blocks increase traction on ice and wet asphalt, and due to their wavy shape - handling and resistance to lateral skidding;
- the optimized composition of the rubber mixture improves traction on slippery roads even at very low temperatures.

I bought a used one from Japan. I've driven about 15,000 km on both major roads and highways. It never let me down in the snow or on ice. It slipped once but that was my own fault. Great tire.
