The friction-type tire Dunlop Grandtrek wt m2 is designed for use on passenger vehicles, including crossovers. It is optimally suited for a mild "European" winter (urban operation). The symmetric tread with two-zone separation provides a balance of fixation properties on the road surface.
In the central zone of the tread, a wide ring rib with a segmented structure is located. This optimizes stability during straight-line movement and improves traction properties, especially on loose snow. Large blocks of open shoulder zones made of a denser compound provide vehicle stability during maneuvering and also work as studs, improving passability on snow cover. The design uses three-dimensional lamellas, which effectively increase grip on icy sections (even without studs).
To reduce the braking distance and increase fuel efficiency, the latest technology is implemented, optimizing the operation of the rubber mixture and tread geometry.
