For a long time, motorcycle tires from the renowned English company Dunlop have been showing excellent results in rally raids. The Dunlop D908 motorcycle tire was specifically designed for the harsh off-road conditions in which competitions of this type are usually held.

A distinctive feature of this tire is its dual purpose. On the one hand, these tires can be successfully used in rally raids, and on the other hand, the tire will also perform well in motocross competitions. Such versatility is provided by the carefully designed tire construction, which demonstrates excellent grip on rocky and loose soils, as well as on hard surfaces, including asphalt. At the same time, the tire, designed for powerful heavy sports motorcycles, has approval for civilian use.

Mainly, the tire owes its exceptional abilities in many ways to the highly efficient design of the tread pattern, which consists of many separate massive blocks. A distinctive feature of the tread pattern of the Dunlop D908 tire is the different shape of the blocks located in the central part of the tread. Every two cross-shaped blocks are followed by three separate four-angled blocks. This solution made it possible to further improve the grip with the hard surface and give the tire more stable behavior.

Since the tire is initially designed to overcome heavy off-road terrain, the tread blocks are spaced at a large distance from each other, even in the shoulder areas. Thanks to this, it was possible to almost completely prevent the risk of clogging the tread.

It is also worth noting the original design of the tread shoulder areas, the blocks of which to a large extent provide excellent passability through sand and mud.
