Description Doublecoin RLB490
The Double Coin RLB490 commercial tire is designed for use on the driving axles of large-capacity trucks that operate in urban and regional transportation. It is positioned by the manufacturer as a standard solution for fleets, combining high mileage and load-carrying capacity, which, along with reduced rolling resistance and excellent reliability, significantly reduces the cost of kilometers driven.
The tread has a deep, non-directional block-type pattern with large traction elements that form a multitude of sharp grip edges. This geometry provides confident movement on wet and snowy surfaces, as well as increased traction when accelerating and braking on inclines. Connecting bridges are provided between the blocks, which limit their mobility and prevent uneven wear. Extended transverse grooves effectively drain water, mud, and snow slush, reducing the risk of skidding.
The developers paid special attention to the durability and heat resistance of the tire. A two-layer tread construction is used, where the upper working layer is made of a rubber compound with a high content of natural rubber and wear-resistant polymers, providing stable traction and resistance to abrasion; the lower layer has increased stiffness and serves to evenly distribute the load over the contact patch, reducing internal deformations and heating.
The tire carcass is made using a special technology that includes a solid steel cord and reinforced breakers. This provides increased strength, resistance to impact loads, and the possibility of retreading. The sidewalls are reinforced with additional layers of cut-resistant and cracking-resistant rubber, which is especially important when operating on roads with uneven surfaces.
Key features of Doublecoin RLB490:
- block tread with multiple grip edges provides reliable traction on wet and snowy surfaces;
- two-layer structure increases wear resistance and even wear;
- solid steel carcass guarantees strength and retreadability.
