The Dayton DW700S winter passenger tire boasts very high technical specifications. These were achieved through the use of technologies developed by Bridgestone at various times in its construction. It is this company that owns the brand today, whose products are primarily intended for countries where the roads are not distinguished by good quality.
Reinforced sidewall construction
One such solution, "borrowed" from Japanese brand models, was the sidewall construction. It has been significantly strengthened by increasing the thickness and using a more resistant rubber compound to aggressive external influences. As a result, the Dayton DW700S tire can withstand even strong impacts from road irregularities almost without any issues.
Arrow-shaped blocks in the center of the Dayton DW700S
The central longitudinal rib, like other functional zones of the tread, features an open design. However, it is composed of blocks of a more original arrow-shaped form. This solution is driven by the desire to improve the maximum number of operational properties. Thanks to the longitudinal arrangement and polygonal shape, such blocks provide good directional stability on one hand and reduce rolling resistance, improving longitudinal traction and adhesion properties on the other.
Multifunctional shoulder zone tread blocks
The shoulder zones of the tread contain many very wide blocks of rectangular shape. Each of these tread elements is multifunctional. When maneuvering, they provide the tire with directional stability, and when slowing down and accelerating, they ensure stable adhesion properties.
Key features:
- The arrow-shaped blocks in the center of the tread improve directional stability, reduce rolling resistance, and provide higher longitudinal traction and adhesion characteristics for the Dayton DW700S;
- The wide shoulder blocks prevent skidding when maneuvering, ensure reliable and stable adhesion when braking and accelerating, and improve deep snow passability;
- Numerous lamellas and studs provide reliable adhesion on compacted snow and ice;
- Excellent elasticity even at very low temperatures due to the increased silica content in the compound composition.
