Reinforced sidewall construction
One such solution, "borrowed" from Japanese brand models, was the sidewall construction. It has been significantly strengthened by increasing the thickness and using a more resistant rubber compound to aggressive external influences. Arrow-shaped blocks in the center of the Dayton DW700S
The central longitudinal rib, like other functional zones of the tread, features an open design. However, it is composed of blocks of a more original arrow-shaped form. This solution is driven by the desire to improve the maximum number of operational properties. Thanks to the longitudinal arrangement and polygonal shape, such blocks provide good directional stability on one hand and reduce rolling resistance, improving longitudinal traction and adhesion properties on the other.
Multifunctional shoulder zone tread blocks
The shoulder zones of the tread contain many very wide blocks of rectangular shape. Each of these tread elements is multifunctional. When maneuvering, they provide the tire with directional stability, and when slowing down and accelerating, they ensure stable adhesion properties.
