The Lanvigator Ice-Spider winter tire is designed for small-capacity commercial vehicles. It features a so-called "Scandinavian" design, which distinguishes it by its high efficiency on any slippery roads.
The tread pattern is dominated by large blocks, which increase its useful area. This improves traction and handling on dry pavement, reduces wear. A solid, arrow-shaped rib reduces fuel consumption and improves handling accuracy. The distribution of blocks in groups in the shoulder areas also reduces wear and improves handling when maneuvering, but at the same time, it saturates the contact patch with a large number of high and long edges. This allows for intense acceleration and deceleration on snow. Good riding properties on icy surfaces are achieved by the effective work of thousands of tightly arranged lamellas and studs.
