The CrossLeader brand belongs to Qingdao Doublestar Tire Industrial Co., Ltd, a company with a controlling stake held by the government of the People's Republic of China. The firm was established in 1921 and has since become an international consortium of dozens of enterprises. The available production chains cover the entire spectrum of processes for the production of tire products, from development to delivery to consumers.

Since 2011, the company has been implementing the "second commitment to creating a world-famous brand" using the opportunities of the 4th Industrial Revolution. This involves the widespread introduction of artificial intelligence technologies into production and logistics chains. The company was one of the first to build and commission an Industry 4.0 factory. The application of AI is not limited to production equipment alone, but is also used in logistics and waste processing generated during the production of tire products.

The company's achievements have been recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is the only manufacturing enterprise in China to have won four awards - "Technological Innovation", "Green Production", "Service Transformation", and "Intelligent Manufacturing". In its industry, the company is considered a "top" player, consistently ranking among the "500 Most Valuable Chinese Brands".

In 2016, the company began acquiring the South Korean firm Kumho Tire. In July 2018, the acquisition was completed. As a result, the Chinese manufacturer became the owner of 45% of the shares of the world-renowned South Korean brand, its main shareholder, and one of the largest companies in the world for the production of tire products.
