The Cooper Discoverer M+S 2 winter tire from a well-known American manufacturer can be installed on a wide range of SUVs and crossovers. Despite being released over ten years ago, it remains relevant to this day. This was achieved through a harmonious combination of reliability, improved traction properties, and wear resistance.
The first aspect that makes the tire more efficient on winter roads is the height of the tread blocks. In this case, it is increased, which has a positive effect on the efficiency of passing snow-covered sections, where the model shows improved traction indicators. In addition, the tire provides stability of grip properties on icy roads. This is ensured by a number of factors. Firstly, the presence of studs with strong fixation in the mounting seats. Secondly, an abundance of large block structures covered with a large number of three-dimensional lamellas with the possibility of self-locking. To this, we should add a wide contact patch with a dense fit of all its parts. The result is confident behavior of the vehicle on winter roads.
Another important aspect is the solid central rib, which guarantees stable handling at various speed modes, as well as directional stability, making the vehicle's behavior more predictable.
A compound with silicon dioxide and a set of additives is used as a compound. This is reflected in the adaptation to low-temperature regimes and increased wear resistance.
Main features of the Cooper Discoverer M+S 2:
- use on crossovers, SUVs, and pickups during the winter period;
- symmetrical tread with increased depth, providing reliable traction on both snowy and icy roads;
- presence of studding, making driving on slippery roads safer;
- special compound is distinguished by its resistance to erosion and adaptive ability to low temperatures.
