The model features a new generation of active noise reduction system. This is not about foam layers, but about geometry. 3D lamellas and special bevels on the sidewalls of the tread grooves work like diffusers, disrupting air flows and preventing the formation of sound waves. At low speeds in urban mode, the tire is virtually inaudible.
Handling and Safety
The high center of gravity of crossovers requires the tire to respond instantly to steering actions. To achieve this, two key solutions were applied:
- block chamfering - a technology in which the edges of the tread blocks have beveled faces. This prevents the "tilting" of elements during sharp braking and maneuvering, increasing the contact patch in a critical moment.
Braking becomes more intense and predictable;
- guiding channels quickly absorb water from under the contact patch and expel it outward. The effectiveness is confirmed instrumentally: on a wet surface, the braking distance from 80 km/h to a complete stop is reduced by 5 meters compared to tires of the previous generation.
Stability in Turns
For crossovers and SUVs prone to tilting, the stiffness of the shoulder blocks is critically important. In the model, multi-component reinforced ribs were used in the shoulder area. They work like spacers, increasing the stiffness of the outer side when cornering and changing lanes. This gives the driver feedback from the steering wheel and reduces the feeling of "tip-over" of the vehicle on turns.
