The Continental Scandinavia LD3 commercial tire belongs to a relatively small category of winter truck tires. It is installed on the driving axle and is intended for regional and highway transportation. It has increased efficiency not only on winter roads but also on dirt roads, featuring the "signature" fuel-saving properties and long service life of German brand tires.

The tread pattern features the latest third version of the "winter" design for truck tires. Its distinctive feature is the shape of the blocks in the central part with an increased number of angles and, consequently, edges of adhesion. These transverse elements are supplemented by numerous wavy lamellas, which increase the traction force on slippery surfaces.

The tread has a dual-layer structure. The inner layer, being stiff, reduces rolling resistance and uneven wear, and increases the stability of adhesion. The more elastic outer part enhances the adhesive properties and allows for more precise dosing of the traction force, preventing wheel slip.
