Description Continental LDR
The Continental LDR commercial tire is designed for the drive axle of trucks used in regional transportation. The model has increased economic efficiency. It can be used throughout the year, it is distinguished by high mileage before replacement, reliability, and fuel efficiency.
Large blocks in the central part
The symmetrical non-directional tread pattern used in this tire features an original design. Its key feature is that the largest blocks are located not in the shoulder areas, like similar tires from other brands, but in the central part. At the same time, they have an original 6-sided shape. In combination, such features improve several important properties at once. The massive size increases the contact patch, which has a positive effect on both traction and wear resistance. In turn, the longitudinal arrangement and inclination of the block edges improve directional stability and traction properties, primarily on slippery surfaces.
Trapezoidal shoulder blocks
The shoulder blocks, on the other hand, have much smaller sizes. This made it possible to increase their number and, accordingly, the number of gripping edges formed by them. They improved braking properties. At the same time, the trapezoidal shape of the blocks provides them with better stability during lateral accelerations, which gives more reliable traction in turns.
Key features of the Continental LDR tire
- large polygonal blocks in the central part prevent lateral skidding at high speed and premature wear;
- trapezoidal shoulder blocks increase stability in turns, reduce braking distance;
- a wear-resistant rubber compound, resistant to punctures and cuts, increases the tire's mileage before replacement.
