The Continental HTR2 summer tire is specially designed for trailers used in difficult road conditions. During its development, particular attention was paid to improving reliability and traction when working in difficult conditions.

Improved tread design

The tread pattern was developed using computer modeling, which allowed the selection of the best tread design from a huge number of options, providing the most effective performance characteristics. Three rows of central massive blocks increased the contact patch. As a result, stability and handling were improved. The special profile design and closely spaced thin grooves increased the smoothness of the ride and improved traction on dry or wet road surfaces. The tread has a deep pattern (17 millimeters), which allows for confident roadholding, improving driving quality and service life. Special grooves provide accelerated self-cleaning of the tread from stones. The unique configuration of the increased-volume tire significantly improved suspension comfort and sidewall durability.

Improved rubber compound composition

Special additives were used to improve the traction characteristics of the Continental HTR2 tire, which allowed not only to increase the traction characteristics but also to reduce the possibility of tread wear during operation in difficult conditions.

Reinforced carcass

When creating the carcass, a special cord and a stabilizing breaker of triangular shape were used, which strengthens the tire structure, minimizing rolling resistance and increasing the durability of the carcass. As a result, fuel consumption and the possibility of various damages (cuts, punctures, etc.) were significantly reduced.

Air-Keep technology

The unique "Air-Keep" technology contributes to the constant maintenance of the optimal tire pressure level. This has a positive effect on traction characteristics and increases tire mileage due to the uniform distribution of load on the tread.

This tire has excellent performance characteristics and an extended service life. In general, the new model allowed achieving the optimal ratio of quality, comfort, and cost.
