Description Continental HA3
The Continental HA3 summer tire is designed for intercity buses, where it can be installed on any axle. The model is characterized by stable traction properties in the most unfavorable road conditions and reduced rolling resistance.
High braking efficiency
The tire has excellent performance when slowing down, especially on wet surfaces. This is largely due to the presence of numerous slits in the tread. Their side walls have three-dimensional protrusions that ensure fixation in the open position when in contact with the road surface and limit the mobility of the tread ribs. As a result, the tire not only effectively slows down the bus but also ensures stable traction properties during this process.
Another factor that determines braking efficiency is the characteristics of the rubber compound. It is distinguished by elasticity and wear resistance at the same time. This is ensured by the presence of silica and modern polymers in its composition.
Reduced fuel consumption
This model is distinguished by excellent fuel economy indicators for its category. This was also achieved by several technical solutions at once. The tread has five solid longitudinal ribs, and a special fuel-saving edge is located along its edges.
Another factor that ensured the tire's reduced rolling resistance is the ratio of the breaker width to the tread width. It has been significantly reduced, thanks to which the tread has much better resistance to deformation under the influence of lateral acceleration forces.
Key features of the Continental HA3 tire
- 3D lamellas reduce the braking distance, ensuring stable traction properties at the same time;
- optimized compound improves traction on wet surfaces, prevents wear;
- special tread edge shape reduces fuel consumption;
- reduced rolling resistance is ensured by the reduced ratio of breaker width to tread width.
