Continental ExtremeContact Sport – high-performance tire for summer operation on passenger cars with powerful engines. The model is oriented towards high-speed driving, during which it maintains control at a high level, providing a maximally rapid response.
The non-directional asymmetric tread, featuring a pronounced rib structure, was created using the proprietary SportPlus technology. In combination with the enlarged blocks of the outer zone, this made it possible to substantially increase the sensitivity of control, making it truly sporty.
The manufacturer paid special attention to the strength of the carcass, which was reinforced with two steel belts in combination with polyamide layers. The sidewalls were also reinforced, becoming more rigid and less susceptible to deformations that occur during maneuvering. All this contributed to an increase in the efficiency of traction, both on dry and wet asphalt.
An important feature of the tire is the composition of its rubber compound, which was developed based on a racing compound. Thanks to this, unprecedented traction with dry road surface was achieved, and wear was significantly reduced. Note that a proprietary QuickView indicator is provided to indicate the latter, which displays uneven wear. Thanks to this, the car owner can always monitor the correctness of the vehicle's suspension settings, promptly eliminating any malfunctions.
