Description Continental Ecoplus HS3
The commercial tire Continental Ecoplus HS3 is designed for the steering axle. Adapted for mixed operating conditions, it is equally suitable for regional and long-haul transportation. It is characterized by improved fuel efficiency, durability, and stability on wet surfaces.
One of the key design features of the tread pattern is the presence of special water-removing lamellas. Structurally, these elements are narrow pockets cut through the entire depth of the tread. Due to their large number, they intensively remove water from under the contact patch, improving traction on wet surfaces. Additionally, this solution allowed for a reduction in the size of the drainage grooves, thereby increasing the volume of rubber in the tread and, consequently, the tire's resistance to wear and service life.
Main features:
- a two-layer tread with a low-rolling-resistance base layer and a wear-resistant outer layer;
- reduced volume of drainage grooves increases the tire's ride comfort and the wear resistance of the tread pattern;
- special pocket-lamellas prevent the occurrence of aquaplaning.
