The Continental ContiSportContact 6 ContiSilent summer tire is designed for car owners who, in addition to sporty precise handling and uncompromising traction, value acoustic comfort in such products. This version of the same-name UHP category model is distinguished by just such a combination of operational properties, thanks to the use of ContiSilent technology.
The key feature of the tire's design is the presence of a layer of polyurethane foam on the inside of the tread. The synthetic elastic material has a porous structure. Numerous small voids filled with air effectively absorb sound waves that occur during tire rolling. As a result, low-frequency rumble is hardly felt in the car's cabin.
The tread area is made from the latest version of the Black Chili rubber compound. One of the main features of its composition is the presence of special polymers that provide homogeneity of the compound at the molecular level. This significantly enhanced all the main physical and chemical properties of the rubber compound, improving the efficiency of the tire.
