The Continental ContiSportContact 5P ContiSilent summer tire is designed for intense use in passenger cars with improved dynamic properties. It represents one of the versions of the same model, differing from it with identical driving qualities, a higher level of acoustic comfort.

Reduced noise and vibration level

The original version of this tire is designed for operation under extremely high loads. The "downside" of such models is their increased stiffness and, as a consequence, noise and vibration that occur under such operating conditions, especially on so-called "rough" asphalt. This tire offers a higher level of comfort inside the car due to the use of ContiSilent technology, which is reflected in its name. The essence of the innovation lies in the use of a special layer of foamed polyurethane on the inner side of the tire. The porous elastic material, having numerous small air-filled voids in its structure, very effectively absorbs noise and dampens vibrations that occur when the tire rolls, not allowing them to be transmitted to the car's cabin in the form of low- and mid-frequency hum.

"Racing" rubber compound

The tread of the tire is made of Black Chilli rubber compound, developed on the basis of a compound used in sports tires for road racing. It is distinguished by the presence of special polymers in the composition of the package, which affect the rubber compound at the molecular level, activating certain connections depending on the mode of movement. In particular, during intense braking and acceleration, the elasticity and temperature of the compound increase, which significantly enhances the traction and adhesion properties. When moving at a constant speed, it, on the contrary, contributes to a decrease in heating, which has a positive effect on directional stability and fuel consumption.

Effective speed-dependent tread pattern

The design of the tread of the tire prevails large deformation-resistant elements. This noticeably increases directional stability and handling precision, especially when driving at high speeds. The solid rib located in the middle additionally provides significant reduction of rolling resistance and slows down the wear process of the tread.
