The summer passenger tire Bridgestone Potenza S01 is one of the "veterans" of the model line of the Japanese manufacturer, designed for powerful sports cars. However, this does not prevent it from remaining one of the leaders in its category, thanks to its very high operational characteristics, primarily excellent traction and sports handling. At the same time, the tire developers did not ignore comfort, paying it considerable attention.

Low weight of Bridgestone Potenza S01

This model is distinguished by a very low weight due, first of all, to the design of the carcass. It is made entirely of synthetic materials wound in a seamless technology layer by layer. At the same time, it not only allowed to get rid of any seams and joints but also to increase the density of the cord threads. On the one hand, this increased the stiffness of the carcass, and on the other hand, it allowed to reduce the degree of heating of the tire during high-speed movement, which, in turn, led to a reduction in rolling resistance.

Asymmetric tread pattern

Seeking to give the Bridgestone Potenza S01 tire maximum versatility, the developers preferred to use a tread with an asymmetric design. It contains five longitudinal ribs, each of which has massive dimensions. Thanks to this, the tire retains stability at any speed. At the same time, the continuous design of the central longitudinal rib and the wide shoulder areas provide it with fast and accurate responses to steering wheel turns, as well as excellent traction when cornering.

Low noise level

When driving, this tire demonstrates a very low noise level. It is ensured by the closed design of the shoulder areas. They prevent the spread of noise generated by the numerous edges of the contact patch in the central part of the tread.
