Description Bridgestone Exedra G703
The Bridgestone Exedra G703 summer motorcycle tire is designed for installation on the front wheels of classic "touring" bikes with engines from 600 cubic centimeters. Like other representatives of the Exedra line, this model is distinguished by a long service life and excellent traction properties, regardless of the characteristics of the road surface, which must be asphalt.
Excellent directional stability
Unlike other models in the Exedra line, the tread of this tire has a number of unique features. First of all, it is the presence of a full-fledged longitudinal rib in the central part, separated from the rest of the tread pattern by two wide drainage grooves. As in car tires, the main functional purpose of this tread element is to ensure directional stability at high speed, as well as to reduce the response time to steering wheel turns. In practice, this significantly simplifies the process of controlling the "touring", most of which are distinguished by their significant weight.
Stable contact patch size
Thanks to the minimal number of separate tread elements, Japanese tire manufacturers were able to maximize the contact patch size. In addition, considerable attention was paid to the design of the carcass, in which almost all the latest Bridgestone developments in this field were used. First of all, it is a "monospiral" metal cord in a rubber shell and a special rim filler. All this together made it possible to give the tread an optimal profile, and the tire itself - high resistance to dynamic deformations that occur during movement. As a result, the contact patch is distinguished not only by its large size but also by exceptional stability even at significant motorcycle lean angles.
Main features:
- the tire is designed for joint use with the G704 model on classic "touring" bikes equipped with engines over 1000 cubic centimeters;
- "monospiral" steel cord in a rubber shell and special rim filler provide the tire with a profile optimal for even distribution of external load on the contact patch;
- a wide central rib formed by two drainage grooves provides excellent directional stability and high steering precision;
- excellent traction on wet roads, thanks to the excellent efficiency of the drainage system and special new-generation components in the rubber compound.
