Description Bridgestone Ecopia HD1
The Bridgestone Ecopia HD1 commercial tire is installed on the drive axle of highway tractors. It is characterized by increased efficiency on slippery surfaces, pronounced fuel-saving properties, and a long lifespan compared to similar products from other brands.
The tread pattern features a closed design of the central part, which contains a large number of gripping edges. All of them are formed by narrow grooves and slits. Their length is increased due to the curved shape of the longitudinal and inclined transverse elements. This design increases the contact patch, ensuring even distribution of load on the road surface. This improves traction on dry pavement and significantly slows down the wear rate of the tread. The small width of the slits and grooves reduces rolling resistance and fuel consumption along with it.
The shoulder areas, on the other hand, have an open design. They are formed by large quadrangular blocks. They additionally expand the contact patch, making it practically square. The elements are connected to each other by wide longitudinal "bridges". They limit the mobility of the blocks, increasing the stability of this part of the tread to deformation. As a result, the directional stability is improved, and the risk of uneven wear is reduced.
The tread is made of a special compound. Its composition includes components that increase thermal conductivity, resistance to abrasion, punctures, and cuts. As a result, rolling resistance is further reduced, and the lifespan and reliability of the tire are increased.
Key Features:
- installed on the drive axle;
- high traction force on slippery surfaces thanks to the tread pattern with a large number of transverse grooves and slits;
- low-mobility shoulder blocks increase directional stability and braking efficiency, prevent uneven wear;
- special rubber compound that reduces heat generation during prolonged high-speed driving, resistant to abrasion, punctures, and cuts.
