The Bridgestone Duravis Van Winter tire is designed for commercial vans and light trucks. It is intended for use in "last mile" transportation, over short distances, mainly within city limits. It is characterized by reliable traction on snowy and icy surfaces, "passenger car" handling, combined with reduced rolling resistance, wear resistance and durability.
The tread pattern is made in a classic design for "passenger" winter tires with a characteristic V-shaped arrangement of grooves. This allows them to use the rotation of the wheel to remove water and its mixture with meltwater, which significantly increases the intensity of this process. Another important feature of the pattern is the presence of massive blocks, as well as their arrangement, which forms elongated curved edges. This increases traction and braking properties on snowy surfaces. In the central part, the elements, overlapping each other, form a composite longitudinal rib, which reduces fuel consumption, wear and provides directional stability and handling comfort when driving at high speeds. Efficiency on the most slippery surfaces is ensured by "three-dimensional" lamellas. Cuts with wavy edges are located at a slight angle across, which increases traction and braking properties even on icy surfaces, as they easily penetrate the water film formed when driving in such conditions.
The main features of Bridgestone Duravis Van Winter:
:
- V-shaped arrangement of grooves increases resistance to aquaplaning, reducing rolling resistance and wear;
- increased block size and optimized tread profile prevent rapid wear under the influence of high weight load, provide "passenger car" handling characteristics;
- numerous lamellas with wavy edges increase traction and braking properties on the most slippery winter surfaces;
- the rubber compound, elastic at extremely low temperatures, strong and durable even with prolonged intensive use in the most severe conditions.
